How It Works

LogoMyWay is a service designed to let users host a logo-creation contest by qualified freelance graphic designers, or create their own logo from scratch.

To create your own logo, simply visit LogoMyWay’s homepage and click on “Get Started Now” to direct to their online logo maker. You do not need to make an account or input any payment information to access their logo maker. However, you will need to make an account to download the final, unwatermarked version of the logo.

Once you’ve accessed the logo maker tool, you can input your business’s name to receive several auto-generated mock-ups of what your logo might look like. From there, you can tweak and adjust the design to suit your brand’s identity. You can also add slogans to complement the logo.

After you’ve finalized your logo, you can choose to buy it and save a copy in PNG, JPEG, or vector formats. Whenever you feel like you want to edit the logo, you can re-enter LogoMyWay’s logo creator and get to work creating a new variation of your design.

LogoMyWay Praise and Pros

There’s a lot to like about LogoMyWay, but there’s perhaps no benefit more obvious than the customization factor. With LogoMyWay, you can launch a logo design contest based on your notes (i.e., preferences regarding color, font, and style), and an attached image to help guide designers.

Attaching an image to your design request streamlines that process for not only the designers but also you. If you have a rough idea of what you want your logo to look like, you can instantly share it with a team of designers so that they can tailor the design to your preferences and not waste time crafting something that you won’t end up using.

The second best benefit of using LogoMyWay is that you won’t have to pay exorbitant fees for hiring a freelance graphic designer. According to some sources, hiring a freelance designer can cost between $65 and $150 per hour. For a ten-hour logo project, you might end up spending as much as $1,500 plus taxes merely for a logo.

Fortunately, LogoMyWay offers extremely competitive rates that will help save you a bundle of cash when commissioning a logo. LogoMyWay customers can start a logo design contest starting at only $200 and can raise the payout amount as high as $1,000 for much more detailed, time-intensive designs.

Third, another benefit is the sheer variety of logo designs provided. Whereas with an in-house or freelance designer, you might receive a few design mockups, LogoMyWay ensures that at least 40 designers will contribute to your logo contest. If fewer than 40 designers enter your contest, LogoMyWay will refund your payment at no cost.

Full Image Rights

It’s worth pointing out that LogoMyWay customers are spoiled when it comes to image rights. No matter what pricing package you buy, LogoMyWay customers are given exclusive rights to use their high-resolution logo in a vector format as they please.

Every LogoMyWay customer can use their tailor-made logo on t-shirts, coffee mugs, pamphlets, or any other medium without having to worry about purchasing the intellectual property. LogoMyWay’s designer conduct policies ensure that the customer owes no liabilities or royalties to the company or the original designer at any point after receiving their logo.

Excellent Turnaround Time

When you hire a professional freelance graphic designer, it’s not uncommon to wait for two to three weeks until a project completes. However, LogoMyWay guarantees that every customer will receive the logo that they paid for within no more than five business days.

Customers can extend deadlines on their commissioned projects if they feel like their contests need more time. This is one of the most commonly-cited LogoMyWay praise and pros. For example, a logo contest that has only accumulated 40 entries after five days can be extended for another five days to generate more entries from more designers.

LogoMyWay Complaints and Cons

Overall, there’s a lot more to like about LogoMyWay than there is to dislike. The first (relatively mild) complaint is that you might pay more for a logo designed on LogoMyWay than some other freelancing platforms. However, this is no reason not to use their services.

With LogoMyWay, you pay for what you get. Purchasing a $200 logo design contest from LogoMyWay may not be the cheapest option, but it’s certainly up there among those that offer the highest value.

Another aspect of LogoMyWay that some customers are put off by is the fact that LogoMyWay’s business model sometimes encourages quantity over quality. By launching a design contest, designers are incentivized to contribute as many logo designs as possible to the hopes of bolstering their chances of winning.

However, this can hardly count as a “con” because, in our books, the more contributions to your logo design contest the better. Even if a dozen of your logos aren’t what you expect, the sheer volume of entries in the contest ensures that at least a few of them will be exactly what you’re after.

Not Much Pricing Support

There are a few different pricing structures that customers can choose from when using LogoMyWay’s services.

You might think “the more pricing options the better.” After all, nobody wants to pay extra for services or products that they don’t need. LogoMyWay, on the other hand, empowers the customer by letting them decide what’s best for them and allowing them to pay for only the services they need.

The downside, however, is that the pricing options can get a little overwhelming for some customers. With so many options to choose from, some customers may not want to make the wrong choice and therefore back away from the service altogether.

Unfortunately, LogoMyWay doesn’t offer any customer support services aimed toward helping customers make the right purchase given their specific needs. For example, there’s no telling exactly how much you should offer as prize money for your logo design contest. It would help if a customer service representative could offer guidance on setting an appropriate prize amount.

Crowdsourcing Concerns

According to some critics, the ethics of crowdsourcing a logo is questionable. If you decide to throw a contest to create your company’s logo, and the prize money only goes to the winner, then you have effectively guaranteed that dozens of designers will end up working for free.

However, it’s important to bear in mind that the designers voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions when entering into a contest. As such, they have no expectation of getting paid unless they win. Further, creating an unused logo helps many junior designers build work experience and a portfolio to help them in their careers.

LogoMyWay Pricing: What’s LogoMyWay’s Fee Structure?

LogoMyWay offers a straightforward pricing structure. Below, I’ve provided a short breakdown of each pricing package and what they entail:

  • Standard Logo: ($49.95) This package includes a standard PNG, JPG, PDF, and SVG vector file copy of the logo that you create, with solid and transparent backgrounds. These logos are for users who want to create their logos by themselves and then purchase the unwatermarked version afterward.
  • Premium Logo: ($79.95) This package includes everything in the Standard Logo Package, as well as an unlimited number of edits. Additionally, Premium Package customers can create multiple designs that they can easily share on social media with the click of a button.
  • Logo Contests ($200 to $1,000): LogoMyWay customers often host logo creation contests in which they can offer a pot of prize money for the winning designer. Customers will have their money refunded unless at least 40 designers contribute to their contest.
  • Add-ons (Optional): For an additional $99, customers have the option to consult with an in-house designer from LogoMyWay to customize their logo and redesign it to perfection. Within five business days, the designer and the customer will arrive at a final logo creation that suits the customers’ preferences. Also, customers can make their logo contest private (i.e., unindexed by search engines) for only $49 extra or pay only $15 to have their contest highlighted in blue on LogoMyWay’s interface.

There are four distinct pricing tiers that LogoMyWay users can take advantage of. For those who are looking for a basic logo creation experience in which they assume the role of designer, then the Standard Logo Package—which costs only $50—is an excellent solution. Opting for the Standard Package gives you everything you need to use your logo everywhere.

LogoMyWay also offers a host of add-on features that can be purchased a la carte to improve your experience with their platform.

LogoMyWay Pricing: What’s LogoMyWay’s Fee Structure?

Perfectionists who may want to tinker with their creation over time should consider opting for the Premium Logo Package. The Premium Package is a great solution for entrepreneurs or business owners who may want to develop their company’s brand identity over the coming years.

With a Premium Package, you can continually revise your design as your company grows.

Last, customers of either package can pay to consult with an in-house designer for only $99 on top of their initial logo package. In our opinion, this is a fantastic investment for those who might feel underwhelmed with their own creation and want expert advice for crafting the perfect logo.

Logo design contests are a great option if you don’t want to design a logo yourself and want 40 or more original, tailor-made designs to choose from.

Logo Contests

Alternatively, you can run logo creation contests where designers create a logo to your specifications. Logo contests start at $200 and you’re only charged if at least 40 designers submit a contribution. At the end of the predetermined contest period, you can choose which design you like most and the winner gets the prize money.

To get started running a logo contest, make an account on LogoMyWay and select the “Logo Contests” tab at the top of the homepage and then click the “Start Logo Contest” button.

What Do LogoMyWay Customers Have to Say?

When checking online, you’ll find that most LogoMyWay’s customers felt happy with their service. Although there were a few unhappy customers airing their grievances, in our opinion it seemed like these critical reviews were written by disgruntled designers or competitors, not entrepreneurs.

Below, you can find a list of a few customer reviews of LogoMyWay found on Trustpilot and other customer review aggregator sites.

Peter

“I am a designer myself but I always recommend to my clients to use LogoMyWay simply because of the sheer diversity of the logo designs that are submitted.

I have used this service for over 5 years and have had some sensational logos from it.”

Andy

“I have used LogoMyWay for a range of creative projects over the last 8 years and have always been satisfied with the results. I have more than once found the main problem with this service is that there are just too many fantastic designs to choose from - not a bad problem to have!! The support too has been excellent.”

Gloria (ECHO Elite Care Health Organization)

“My experience with LogoMyWay was great, the site produced over 600 logos from talented designers globally. I would highly recommend them and will work with them again for future needs.”

Is LogoMyWay Worth It For Hiring?

It’s often asked, “Is LogoMyWay worth it for hiring?” The answer, based on hours of extensive research, is yes.

LogoMyWay is one of the best options on the market for hiring graphic designers at a fraction of the cost of what you might pay in-house or through an agency. Although it can take a little while to get used to their interface and their pricing structure, the value for your money is hard to beat.

LogoMyWay takes all of the legwork out of logo creation, hiring, and ensuring that all of the necessary documents are delivered. When you hire a freelance designer, it’s hard to tell whether everything you need as a business owner has been handed over. For example, some freelancers may not deliver vector graphics or PDF versions of their logo.

With LogoMyWay, you don’t have to worry about not receiving anything. No matter what package you buy, or which designer ends up crafting your logo, you always receive the same product deliverables, including PNG/JPG image files, vector graphics, PDFs, and much more. In our view, you would be hard-pressed to find this kind of value from a comparably priced freelancer!

The bottom line is that LogoMyWay offers excellent value if you simply need a logo designed within a short deadline by a professional freelancer. Plus, customers have the added benefit of being able to choose from a wide variety of designs to find the creation that best suits their brand.
